I get these questions a lot. Here are my best answers…
Are your products suitable for vegetarians or vegans?
All of our products are suitable for vegetarians however, but some of our soaps do contain animal products such as goats milk.
Does your soap contain lye?
Yes our soap does contain lye as you cannot make soap without this ingredient. Lye is needed to turn the oils into soap. As the lye goes through a chemical process there is none left in the final product.
Are your soaps suitable for all skin types?
Our soaps are handmade from scratch, using the cold process method. The oils and butters in our soap will nourish your skin. If your skin is particularly sensitive then we recommend doing a patch test on a small area of skin prior to using.
Do your soaps contain allergens?
Allergens are ingredients that can cause allergies. Most essential oils contain naturally occurring allergens such as limonene, linalool, citral or geraniol. Legally, these need to be declared in the ingredients.
Do your products contain palm oil?
Copper Bridge Soap and Body are against using unnecessary palm oil. Due to this if there are any alternative options then we will choose the non-palm oil option. There is one product in our range, our whipped soap which does currently contain palm oil. But we are pleased to say we have sourced another supplier which can provide us with a palm oil free substitute so we will commence using this in the next few months.
How long will my soap last?
This depends on how you store your soap and how often you use it. We recommend you use your soap within 6 months to enjoy the aroma from the essential oils. But don’t worry too much if you don’t as soap doesn’t go off, it just becomes milder and produces more bubbles with age. When using your soap, it is best to pop it into a draining soap dish and away from running water. Helping the soap dry out between uses will give your soap longevity.
Do you have CPSR’s?
Each of the items we sell have Cosmetic Safety Reports (CPSR’s) and we follow all UK guidelines.
Do your products come in glass jars?
Our whipped soaps, body butters and candles come in glass jars. We try to be as sustainable as we can by not using plastic containers. Just try to scoop out what you need before entering your bath or shower.
Do you use plastic packaging?
At Copper Bridge Soap and Body, we believe in looking after our environment and the world around us. For us, this means making our packaging recyclable or compostable where possible.
If you purchase our bath bombs, you may think they have been wrapped in plastic – but rest assured this protective layer is in fact a material which is biodegradable and compostable. Bath bombs are sensitive to the environment and cannot perform as well if not protected from humidity. This packaging is the best solution for us to keep your product in great condition for you to enjoy.
Do you deliver internationally?
We currently only post to the UK and Channel Islands but are looking into posting to other countries in the future.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
We do not offer returns or exchanges. All sales are final. If you have an issue with your order, please email us at [email protected], we will try to resolve the issue.
How long until I receive my order?
We pack and ship orders within 3 working days. If you are in the UK, we ship our products with Royal Mail tracked 48.
